I came into Racha’s care in 2010. I was previously with an OB and after having an unpleasant experience, I transferred my care to Racha and never looked back. I had a home water birth on New Years Day and six years into motherhood, I feel I’m still in Racha’s care. I consider her a mentor, a friend, and an inspiration. Working with her was a personal revolution that altered the course of my life. I’m forever changed and forever grateful.
My life and that of my family have been so richly blessed by our love experience with Racha and her team of midwives. The quality of care, the experiential wisdom that effortlessly flows, the attentiveness to who you are as a wombman/a mother and what you desire, you need, as she reminds you of your innate sense of knowing and to simply trust made our birth journey with Amarii such a blessing. I wholeheartedly give Racha our immense thanks and pray that others will be blessed by this precious gift; she is clearly touched by the divine—respect, power, praise & boundless love!
Both of our babies were born with Racha, and I wouldn't do it any other way. From prenatals through postpartum, we were cared for with love and expertise, wisdom and compassion. When unforeseen circumstances arose, Racha and her team acted swiftly and were our greatest advocates and protectors. Our family will be forever grateful!
My birth experience with Racha was nothing short of amazing. Racha is an excellent healthcare provider who met me where I was at, and created a safe, judgement-free space for me. Racha is down to earth and helped me feel safe and comfortable, and when she gave informed consent, I actually felt informed enough to consent. Racha didn’t force me to do anything I didn’t want to do. After pushing for a while, she encouraged me to get into a squatting position, which I at first refused to do. But since she hadn’t told me to do anything else, I figured I better listen to her. As soon as I did, out came my baby with one big push. Post-partum I was experiencing breastfeeding issues which Racha supported me through, she also referred me to a moms group and with the help of her and a few other moms, I ended up breastfeeding my son until he was 29 months old. Racha is truly a blessing to me and my family and I am so glad she was and is, forever, my midwife.

Deciding to have a home birth was one of the best decisions I've ever made and choosing the lovely ladies of the community birth center will always have a special place in my heart! I felt like they cared about me, my family, along with my wants, needs, fears, and excitement! They took the time to get to know me and my family and it was truly a sad day when I knew I didn't need them anymore because I had given birth! I will forever support Racha as I truly believe she was born to be a midwife! Racha is patient, kind, loving, understanding, warming, welcoming, friendly, funny, down to earth, and most importantly passionate about the mamas and their babies! It was nice to have her every step of the way! My family adores her and I am not having anymore children, but if I did it wouldn't be a question who I'd turn too! I tell everyone about my experience and how empowering it felt to have my vision become a reality! Racha gave me the confidence to believe that I could have a healthy and safe delivery in the comfort of my own home!
I am so thankful that Racha was put on this earth to be the welcoming committee for so many 'tiny humans' including mine! Our family not only gained a new member thru birth but our midwife is forever a part of our lives. I wish such a powerful capable transformative experience for all birthing women who choose to take control of their birth stories with the sacred guidance she so graciously provides. I tell anyone who wants to listen about our amazing home water births and calm and attentive prenatal and post-partum love we received.
